In this video
Cycling has quietly become one of Bhopal’s favourite morning habits, and this video is a practical guide to the dedicated cycling track on Hoshangabad Road — everything you need if you’re thinking of riding here.
What the video covers
- The track and its history — how the dedicated lane came about
- Facilities — what’s available along the route
- Parking and Chartered Bike stations — where to leave your vehicle and hire a public cycle
- A Strava map of the full track
How to hire a cycle
Public Chartered Bike cycles can be picked up and dropped at docking stations along the track, booked through their app or website. It’s a dock-to-dock system, so you don’t need to own a cycle to ride here — ideal for visitors and beginners.
Planning tip
Ride early — the track is busiest and coolest at dawn, which is also when Bhopal’s cycling community is out in force. It’s flat, traffic-separated and beginner-friendly.
