Day 2 was the active day — waterfalls, caves and a lot of walking. We woke to Navratri songs and troops of monkeys around Hotel Highland, then hired our guide again from the Bison Museum.
What we covered
- Bison Lodge — the old museum and the pick-up point for guides
- Reech Garh — a natural cave and rock formation reached on a short trek
- Echo Point — where your voice carries clear across the valley
- Bee Fall — the climb down to the waterfall and its bathing pools
- Pandav Caves — five ancient rock-cut caves on a garden hillock
This was a physically tiring day — Reech Garh, Bee Fall and the Pandav Caves all involve treks down and back up, so it’s the day to save your energy for.
Planning tip
Carry water and wear grippy shoes. Bee Fall in particular is a proper descent and climb. If you’re travelling with elders or small children, the Pandav Caves and Echo Point are the easiest of the group.
